   Pinto lo que siento.

Trabajo desde la emoción, el cuerpo y la necesidad de traducir lo invisible en gesto, forma y materia. Cada obra nace de un ritmo interior que se transforma en capas, manchas o líneas, avanzando despacio, desde la búsqueda y la experimentación.

Me inspira la naturaleza, las formas orgánicas y los paisajes que me rodean: aquello que deja huella, que cambia con el tiempo y que revela su memoria en la superficie. Mi proceso se alimenta de esa observación atenta del territorio, de su energía y de su transformación constante.

Utilizo técnicas mixtas —óleo, acrílica, aerosol y otros materiales— sobre distintos lienzos y soportes. En muchas piezas, el aerosol actúa como impulso inicial: un trazo libre, gestual, que conserva algo de su origen urbano y que abre el camino al resto de la composición.

Aunque no siempre fue visible, mi compromiso con la pintura nunca se detuvo. En mi práctica, arte y vida continúan siendo una misma cosa: un diálogo permanente entre interioridad, paisaje y materia.

I work from emotion, the body, and the need to translate the invisible into gesture, form, and matter. Each work is born from an inner rhythm that becomes layers, marks, or lines, moving slowly through search and experimentation.

I am inspired by nature, by organic forms, and by  the environments that surround me: everything that leaves a trace, changes over time, and reveals its memory on the surface. My process is nourished by attentive observation of the territory, its energy, and its constant transformation.

I use mixed techniques —oil, acrylic, aerosol, and other materials— on different canvases and supports. In many pieces, aerosol acts as the initial impulse: a free, gestural stroke that retains something of its urban origin and opens the path for the rest of the composition.

Although it was not always visible, my commitment to painting never ceased. In my practice, art and life remain the same thing: a continuous dialogue between interiority, landscape, and matter.

 De Padua (Lausanne, 1972) es una artista visual que vive y trabaja en Galicia desde 1986. Su obra se sitúa entre la abstracción matérico-gestual y la relación íntima con el paisaje gallego, integrando técnicas mixtas y procesos que combinan gesto, materia y territorio.

Entre 2002 y 2009 desarrolla sus primeras investigaciones pictóricas, dando lugar a exposiciones en el Casino de Figueira da Foz (Portugal, 2004), el Museo Municipal de Ourense (2005) y la Casa da Cultura de Allariz (2010).

Tras esta etapa inicial de exploración formal, evoluciona hacia una práctica más introspectiva, ligada al entorno natural y a la consolidación progresiva de una identidad visual propia.

Desde 2022 desarrolla un cuerpo de obra profundamente conectado con Galicia y con una investigación técnica y material en expansión. De este proceso surgen las colecciones Parada Colors (2022–), centrada en el color y el gesto a través del aerosol; Fragmentos I, una serie que aborda la relación entre territorio, tiempo y transformación; y El cuerpo desnudo de la vid, un proyecto en blanco y negro que trabaja anatomías y formas del paisaje agrícola.

Junto a estas líneas ya registradas, la artista continúa investigando nuevas direcciones vinculadas al paisaje gallego y a los ritmos estacionales, ampliando un trabajo que profundiza en la observación del entorno, la memoria del territorio y el diálogo entre gesto y naturaleza.

Su práctica combina documentación, archivo visual y una reflexión continua influida por la filosofía estoica, la introspección y la disciplina del trabajo manual. Su investigación se centra en la materialidad, el proceso y la relación entre gesto, tierra y memoria.

  De Padua (Lausanne, 1972) is a visual artist who has lived and worked in Galicia since 1986. Her work moves between material-gestural abstraction and an intimate relationship with the Galician landscape, integrating mixed techniques and processes that combine gesture, matter, and territory.

Between 2002 and 2009, she developed her first pictorial investigations, leading to exhibitions at the Casino de Figueira da Foz (Portugal, 2004), the Museo Municipal de Ourense (2005), and the Casa da Cultura de Allariz (2010).

After this initial stage of formal exploration, her practice evolved toward a more introspective approach, closely linked to the natural environment and to the gradual consolidation of her own visual identity.

Since 2022, she has been developing a body of work deeply connected to Galicia and to an expanding technical and material investigation. From this process emerge the collections Parada Colors (2022–), centered on color and gesture through aerosol; Fragmentos I, a series exploring the relationship between territory, time, and transformation; and The Naked Body of the Vine, a black-and-white project focused on the anatomies and forms of the agricultural landscape.

Alongside these established lines, the artist continues to explore new directions connected to the Galician landscape and its seasonal rhythms, expanding a body of work that deepens the observation of place, the memory of territory, and the dialogue between gesture and nature.

Her practice combines documentation, visual archiving, and sustained reflection influenced by Stoic philosophy, introspection, and the discipline of manual work. Her research focuses on materiality, process, and the relationship between gesture, earth, and memory.

Mi trabajo nace de la observación del territorio gallego y de un proceso en el que gesto, color y materia se entrelazan. Cada línea de investigación responde a un ritmo propio, pero todas comparten la misma búsqueda: transformar paisaje, experiencia y memoria en lenguaje plástico.

Una primera línea se centra en el color y el gesto, explorando la energía del aerosol y la intensidad emocional de las gamas cromáticas. Es una investigación abierta que trabaja el movimiento, la vibración y la carga expresiva del color.

Otra línea aborda la relación entre territorio y transformación, trabajando ideas de tiempo, memoria y proceso. Aquí, la materia, la memoria del lugar y las huellas del paisaje dialogan de manera directa con la superficie de la obra.

Una tercera línea parte de la observación poética del viñedo invernal, cuando la ausencia de hojas revela la fuerza contenida del tronco y su anatomía silenciosa. Esta investigación analiza forma, luz y estructura desde un enfoque íntimo y casi escultórico.

De forma paralela, continúo desarrollando nuevas direcciones vinculadas al paisaje gallego, los ciclos estacionales y la percepción del entorno, ampliando un cuerpo de obra en constante evolución.

Trabajo desde la libertad del gesto y la tensión entre control y sorpresa. Crear en un espacio que me concede tiempo y calma es esencial para que la obra surja desde la honestidad y la necesidad. En ese proceso, cada pieza se convierte en un diálogo abierto entre lo visible y lo invisible. 

My work emerges from observing the Galician landscape and from a process in which gesture, color, and matter intertwine. Each line of research follows its own rhythm, yet all share the same aim: to transform landscape, experience, and memory into a visual language.

One line focuses on color and gesture, exploring the energy of aerosol and the emotional intensity of chromatic ranges. It is an open investigation that works with movement, vibration, and the expressive charge of color.

Another line addresses the relationship between territory and transformation, working with ideas of time, memory, and process. Here, matter, the memory of place, and the traces of the landscape engage in a direct dialogue with the surface of the work.

A third line arises from the poetic observation of the winter vineyard, when the absence of leaves reveals the contained strength of the trunk and its silent anatomy. This research approaches form, light, and structure from an intimate and almost sculptural perspective.

In parallel, I continue developing new directions connected to the Galician landscape, seasonal rhythms, and the perception of the environment, expanding a body of work in constant evolution.

I work from the freedom of gesture and from the tension between control and surprise. Creating in a space that allows time and calm is essential for the work to emerge from honesty and necessity. In that process, each piece becomes an open dialogue between the visible and the invisible.
